VIBRAM® SOLES
A safety shoe equipped with a Vibram® outsole guarantees maximum grip even on the roughest and most slippery terrain.
What is the reason for this?
In 1935, Vitale Bramani, a young entrepreneur and experienced mountaineer from Milan, lost six of his friends during a mountain expedition. One of the reasons for the accident was ill-fitting footwear. As the head of a rubber factory specializing in the manufacture of joints and pipes, he had the idea of using this material to make soles with better grip. With the help of his friend Leopoldo Pirelli, he developed the Carrarmato model in 1937. This first sole signed Vibram® (a contraction of the founder's first and last name) is distinguished by its material and its shape, which lets snow or mud slide between its notches while offering a previously unseen grip.
